Refund Policy

At Fern Bookshop, we take great care in selecting and packaging our books. If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, we’re here to help.

Returns

  • We accept returns within 14 days of delivery.

  • To be eligible for a return:

    • The item must be unused, unread, and in the same condition in which it was received.

    • The item must be in its original packaging (if applicable).

    • Proof of purchase is required.

Because books are easily damaged through handling, items showing signs of use, wear, or damage will not be eligible for return.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are final sale and not eligible for return or refund:

  • Used books (unless damaged in transit)

  • Rare, collectible, or out-of-print books

  • Signed or limited editions

  • Sale or clearance items

  • Gift cards

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with:

  • Your order number

  • A brief description of the issue

  • Photos of the item and packaging

We will gladly offer a replacement or full refund, including shipping, when the issue is our responsibility.

Refunds

  • Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of approval or rejection.

  • Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable, except in cases of damage or error on our part.

Return Shipping

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item was damaged or incorrect.

  • We recommend using a trackable shipping service, as we cannot guarantee receipt of returned items.
